My Bio

Dan Tiernan is a seasoned technology entrepreneur with over 20 years of experience that includes
leadership positions in technology design, sales, and services across a wide variety of industries.  

Dan is currently the Chief Operating Officer for
The Capital Market Solution (CMS) Group of GL TRADE, a
software company in the Financial Services sector.  Prior to joining FNX,  Dan was President and CEO of
SkillSurvey, a provider of online reference checking solutions to market leading companies like Citigroup,, Quest Diagnostics and others.  Dan relocated, refocused and recapitalized SkillSurvey in his
first four months on the job.  After Dan invested his own capital, the company was able to raise over $2 million
in additional funding from two venture capital firms.  SkillSurvey used the capital to build a management team,
re-architect the solution, and expand sales and marketing.  In 2006, SkillSurvey doubled the subscriber base,
increased revenue four-times and created a portfolio of market leading partners that positioned the company
for rapid growth in 2007.  

Dan was a co-founder of Atlas Commerce, which was acquired by Verticalnet in December 2001. In his
tenure at Atlas, Dan led the company in it’s acquisition of ground-breaking customer relationships at Hewlett
Packard and Wal-Mart, among many others. Prior to co-founding Atlas, Dan enjoyed a successful career at
SCT and Accenture, focusing on ERP sales and business development. Dan graduated magna cum laude
with a B.S. in industrial engineering from the Georgia Institute of Technology.

My Past Work

My first job out of college was with the Consulting Division of Arthur Andersen,
which became Andersen Consulting and is now the market leader in consulting
services, Accenture.

I left Accenture to help launch an ERP division for a product called Adage, at a
company named SCT.  After helping to grow this division from under $2 million a
year in revenue to over $50 million a year, in under three years, I left to start Atlas
Commerce.  Ultimately, this business was sold by SCT to Golden Gate Capital
and was the first of several ERP and supply chain solution companies that
became Infor, the third largest ERP provider.

3 years after starting Atlas we sold the business to Verticalnet, a darling
that transitioned from being a online provider of vertical marketplaces, to a
software company, with their acquisition of Atlas and their subsequent
purchases of Tigris and B2EMarkets.

10 months after leaving Verticalnet, I invested in SkillSurvey and led the
market-launch of this company as the CEO and am currently serving as a Board
